The military and hospitaller order of Saint Lazarus, which dates to the times of the French kings of the Middle Ages, is again under the leadership of a member of the royal family. The one chosen to assume this prominent position is Prince François d'Orléans, son of the Count of Évreux and first cousin of the Count of Paris and invested Grand Master on September 16, 2023.
Investiture of the Military and Hospitaller Order of Saint Lazarus of Jerusalem at the Church of Saint Mary Magdalene in Apex, North Carolina – April 22nd 2023. 10 new postulants were inducted as well as six members were promoted. Additionally, three of our members became Professed Knights, bringing our Professed membership to a total of six; led by Sir Robert Klesko as our Rector. Eight of our members were recognized as Members of Merit.
Our Chevaliers, Dames, Rev. Fathers, Deacons, Brothers & Sisters of the Order of St. Lazarus, from February 10-12, 2023, gathered at Subiaco Abbey to conduct our first annual Officer staff meeting and spiritual retreat.
